Born & Raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Mr. Montgomery graduated from the University of California at Berkeley in 1971 with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science. In 1974 he was awarded the Degree of Juris Doctor from the prestigious Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California, Berkeley, which is consistently ranked in the top ten law schools in the nation. Mr. Montgomery was admitted to the California State Bar in December 1974.

Mr. Montgomery has spent his entire legal career as a criminal defense attorney, successfully representing thousands of persons charged with crimes ranging from petty theft to capital murder. He has appeared in virtually all jurisdictions within the State of California, defending many noteworthy and sensational cases. His reputation as a vigorous and highly skilled trial attorney is well known and respected by judges and prosecutors throughout the State.
